Vanessa is a British born artist of Asian origin, living in the UK.  Her interest is in capturing energy, rhythm and movement.  She makes screenprints and monotypes, using the screen in experimental ways to achieve a balance of control and spontaneity.  Small families of related monoprints show repeated motifs, which interact in different ways each time.

The abstract works show her love of colour, simplicity and mark making.

The ritual of screenprinting forms part of a meditative like process which helps create these instinctive pieces.  She uses this as a personal way to examine what is present in that moment.
